ARPA FVG PROGRAM | Workshop Activities
Discovering the Regional Agency for Environmental Protection of Friuli Venezia Giulia (ARPA FVG), young people and adults will be able to observe and experiment with some of the monitoring activities that ARPA FVG technicians carry out daily.
During the days, different technicians will alternate proposing interesting insights related to:
Electromagnetic pollution:
Measurements of electromagnetic pollution carried out with a special probe that measures outdoor sources (tablet, smartphone, etc.).
Noise and sound pollution:
Measurements of noise pollution, analysis of noisy sources and their consequences for animals, plants and humans.
Air quality:
Demonstration of the analyses performed, forecasts and reflections on the causes of indoor and outdoor air pollution.
Quality of inland waters:
Tools and equipment for sampling in rivers and lakes. Status of regional watercourses.
Soil quality:
Soil consumption and properties of healthy soil (how to recognize it, how to preserve it).
Weather forecasts and climate change:
Weather and climate are not the same thing; small meteorology experiments.
Laboratory analyses:
Which analyses on samples are daily collected by the Agency technicians.
Waste:
What is the purpose of separate waste collection? Presentation of the waste situation in our region.
Environmental education:
Reflection on the importance of each one of our daily behaviors.

Fish Heritage Protection Authority (ETPI) manages fish resources on a regional scale.
The aquariums with the fish species of FVG: biodiversity of rivers “within sight”.

The Palace will be open with the “Many Faces” exhibition curated by Giovanna Durì, showcasing portraits of women created by over forty of the most significant names in contemporary illustration.

Along the street you can admire some images from the exhibition “PASSAGGI – On the thread of time”, a photographic journey among old and new generations of malgari created over the years by Ulderica Da Pozzo.
Other photographs kindly provided by the Carnia Cultural Photographic Club of malghe of Carnia and the cattle auctions of the past.
At the headquarters of the Val But Dairy in Tolmezzo, in addition to purchasing local products, it will be possible to visit the ancient dairy of Tolmezzo.
